Medical and Educational Disclaimer

Beta — DRAFT v0.1 (2026-09-16) — for lawyer review; not legal advice; not yet published

Operator: [Legal entity name], [registered address], [company number / LLP number]. Contact: hello@medexamhelper.com. Last updated: 16 September 2026 (DRAFT v0.1 — for lawyer review).

This disclaimer applies to the product marketed as Med Exam Helper (the "Product"). The Product is operated by the entity named above (the "Operator"). By using the Product you confirm that you have read and understood this disclaimer.

1. The Product is an exam-preparation and training tool only

The Product is designed solely to help medical students and other trainees practise clinical-examination technique in a safe, simulated environment. It is not medical advice. It is not a diagnosis. It is not a treatment recommendation. It does not replace, and is not a substitute for, the training, supervision, judgement or advice of a qualified clinician.

2. All patients are simulated and fictional

Every patient in the Product is simulated by an AI actor. The patient, the history, the examination findings, the test results and the scenario as a whole are fictional and produced for teaching purposes only.

2.1 Any resemblance to a real person, living or dead, is coincidence.

2.2 Each case is a teaching scenario, not a clinical record and not clinical guidance. The Product does not endorse any course of action taken in a scenario as appropriate for any real patient.

3. Do not use the Product to inform the care of a real patient

You must not use the Product, or anything it produces (including AI-generated patient responses, grading, feedback, viva questions, citations or explanations), to inform the assessment, diagnosis or treatment of any real patient.

4. AI-generated content may be incomplete, outdated or wrong

The Product's patient responses, grading, feedback, explanations and audio are generated by artificial intelligence. Such content may be:

4.1 incomplete;

4.2 outdated — clinical knowledge, guidelines and accepted practice change over time;

4.3 inaccurate or wrong in other ways.

The Product is not a substitute for current clinical guidelines, supervision by a qualified clinician, or your own professional judgement. You are responsible for checking the accuracy and currency of any clinical content against authoritative sources.

5. Grading is formative practice feedback only

5.1 The grade and feedback you receive after an encounter are formative practice feedback, not a prediction of exam performance.

5.2 The grade is not an official assessment and does not carry the authority of an examiner, a regulator, a medical school or a royal college.

5.3 The Operator makes no guarantee that your use of the Product will result in passing any examination, securing any placement, or achieving any other outcome. Pass and fail decisions remain with the examining body.

6. Clinician review — exact wording

6.1 The Product's case content is reviewed with practising clinicians.

6.2 A small number of stations carry a named clinician's endorsement.

6.3 The Operator makes no stronger claim than the wording in clauses 6.1 and 6.2 anywhere in the Product, in marketing, in sales material or in any other communication. A station that does not carry a named endorsement has not been individually endorsed by a named clinician.

7. Your professional obligations are yours

If you are a practising clinician, a trainee or a student subject to professional regulation (including by the General Medical Council, the Medical Council of India, the Medical Council of Canada or any other body), you remain bound by your own professional obligations at all times. Nothing in the Product overrides those obligations.

8. If you are a patient — please seek proper help

If you are a patient, a member of the public, or someone looking for medical help for yourself or for someone else, do not use the Product for that purpose. Instead:

8.1 contact a qualified medical professional;

8.2 in an emergency, contact your local emergency services number (for example 999 in the UK, 112 in the EU, 112 in India, 911 in the United States and 911 in Canada).

The Operator does not provide medical services and does not respond to medical enquiries sent through the Product.

9. Regional non-exclusion

Nothing in this disclaimer is intended to exclude any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded under the law of the United Kingdom, the European Union, the Republic of India, Canada or the United States of America (as applicable to you). If any clause is held to be invalid or unenforceable in a particular jurisdiction, the remaining clauses continue to apply.

End of disclaimer.
