Acceptable Use Policy
Last updated: 18 October 2026
This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") forms part of and supplements our Terms of Service. It applies to all use of Med Exam Helper (the "Service") operated by VE LAXMI EXIM LLP ("we", "us", "our"). Capitalised terms not defined here have the meanings given in the Terms.
1. One person, one account
1.1. Your account is for your personal, individual use only. You must not share your account or credentials with any other person, regardless of whether that person is a family member, colleague, trainee, or friend.
1.2. The Service enforces one active session per account. When you sign in on a new device or browser, the previous session is signed out automatically. We also monitor truncated IP-network prefixes (/24 for IPv4 and /48 for IPv6) at sign-in so that we can detect shifts consistent with shared, sold, or hijacked accounts.
1.3. Sharing, selling, transferring, or sub-licensing your account or credentials is a material breach of the Terms and may result in immediate suspension or termination without refund.
2. No scraping or harvesting
2.1. You must not scrape, crawl, cache, mirror, frame, bulk-download, or otherwise harvest the case bank, clinical rubrics, marking schemes, flashcard content, or any other proprietary content made available through the Service.
2.2. You must not use any automated means (bots, scripts, headless browsers, AI agents) to access the Service other than through the interfaces we explicitly provide.
2.3. You must not attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the Service, or attempt to derive source code, underlying ideas, or trade secrets from it.
3. No automated bulk consults
3.1. You must not run automated or bulk consults against the Service, including scripts that submit many cases or questions in a short period, or that integrate the Service into another product without our written permission.
3.2. We apply rate limits and may throttle, queue, or block activity that we reasonably believe is automated, excessive, or disruptive.
4. No prompt extraction or jailbreaking
4.1. You must not attempt to extract, discover, reproduce, or publish the system prompts, hidden instructions, or internal configuration of the patient simulator, the grader, or any other model integrated into the Service.
4.2. You must not attempt to "jailbreak" or bypass the safety guardrails of the patient simulator or grader, including by prompting the model to ignore its instructions, adopt a different persona, reveal underlying behaviour, or produce output outside the intended educational use.
4.3. We apply guardrail screens to inputs and outputs. Attempting to circumvent those screens, or to design prompts that defeat them, is a breach of this AUP.
5. No real patient data or third-party personal data (hard rule)
5.1. You must not submit real patient data, or any information that could identify a real patient, into any consult, prompt, upload, voice recording, or free-text field in the Service. This is a hard rule and applies regardless of how the Service is used.
5.2. You must not submit any other person's personal data into the Service, including the personal data of colleagues, friends, family members, exam partners, or any third party.
5.3. The Service is designed only for simulated cases. Even though we apply guardrail screens to inputs, you remain responsible for what you submit. If you accidentally submit real patient data or third-party personal data, you must notify us immediately at hello@medexamhelper.com so that we can locate and erase it, and so that we can preserve an audit trail.
5.4. Breaches of this clause may result in immediate account termination without refund and may be reported to relevant authorities, including data-protection regulators and professional bodies.
6. No unlawful or abusive content
6.1. You must not submit unlawful, defamatory, harassing, hateful, threatening, sexually explicit, or otherwise abusive content into the Service, or use the Service to facilitate such conduct against any other person.
6.2. You must not impersonate any person, organisation, or clinician in your use of the Service, including by claiming endorsements or qualifications you do not hold.
6.3. We apply guardrail screens to inputs to help detect and block such content. Where guardrails flag content, we may block the consult, issue a warning, or suspend or terminate your account.
7. No reselling access
7.1. You must not resell, rent, lease, sub-license, time-share, or commercially exploit access to the Service, including by running a paid training operation, tuition business, or coaching service that relies on the Service for its core content.
7.2. Educational institutions, training bodies, and commercial resellers who wish to use the Service should contact hello@medexamhelper.com to discuss a separate arrangement.
8. Security and integrity
8.1. You must not probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of the Service, or breach or attempt to breach any security or authentication measures.
8.2. You must not upload or transmit viruses, malware, ransomware, or any other malicious code, or use the Service to attack other systems.
8.3. You must not interfere with or disrupt the Service, its infrastructure, or any other user's enjoyment of the Service.
9. Consequences of breach
9.1. Where we reasonably believe you have breached this AUP, we may (at our discretion, having considered the seriousness of the breach, your history, and any mitigating factors): (a) issue a written warning; (b) require you to remove or correct offending content; (c) suspend your account while we investigate; (d) terminate your account immediately; or (e) report the matter to relevant authorities, including law enforcement, data-protection regulators, or professional bodies.
9.2. Where termination is for breach of this AUP, no refund of any unused portion of your access pack is owed. This does not affect statutory rights of consumers under the law that applies to them.
9.3. We may preserve evidence of breach (including transcripts, session metadata, and abuse signals) for as long as reasonably necessary to enforce this AUP, defend claims, or comply with legal obligations.
10. Reporting abuse
10.1. If you become aware of any breach of this AUP, or of any content that you believe is unlawful or infringes your rights, please report it to hello@medexamhelper.com. Please include enough information for us to locate and assess the report (URL, account handle, approximate time, and a description of the issue).
10.2. We aim to acknowledge reports within five working days and to provide a substantive response within a reasonable period thereafter.
11. Changes to this AUP
11.1. We may update this AUP. Material changes will be notified by email and in-product. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
